The only negative aspect of all the party jams is that there are entirely too many on this CD.

Once again this track is for the ladies and R Kelly proves why he is one of the best producers in the game today. The Pied Piper and his lovely group JS shows up on "So Sexy". This is my favorite song on this CD by far and is worth the price of the CD alone. This should definitely be the next single. Kanye samples the classic Lenny Williams slow jam, "'Cause I Love You", to perfection. The best of these songs being another Kanye West produced track in "Overnight Celebrity". Although Twista starts off hard, he definitely tones things down for the ladies and for the clubs, almost even too much. If you have any kind of system in your car or truck then you will enjoy this track. On "Higher", Twista employs Ludacris on the track and the two artists have a memorable collaboration on the track. Toxic, who produces 7 songs on "Kamikaze", definitely has his best work on this song and Twista takes over a 4 minute lyrical ride on the track. "Get Me" gets the CD off to a good start and if you still disbelieve in his skills, Twista comes back strong on one of my favorite tracks on his CD in "Kill Us All". The concept makes sense and this is a good way for people who may not have known who Twista was to get introduced to him. This song has been heard constantly and for good reason. If you haven't heard this song by now then you must not have access to a radio or basic cable television. The first single from "Kamikaze" is the Kanye West produced "Slow Jamz" which features Twista, Kanye West and Jamie Foxx. Although "Kamikaze" was released on Atlantic Records, it seems as if Twista really wants to be a Rocafella soldier. Cant nobody come close to dat.Īfter appearing on various Rocafella collaborations such as "Is That Your Chic" w/Memphis Bleek, Jay Z & Missy Elliott, "Champions" w/Kanye West, Beanie Sigel, and Cam'ron from the "Paid In Full" soundtrack and "Poppin' Tags" with Jay Z, Killer Mike and Big Boi from Outkast, Twista has finally released another CD. This is Adrenaline Rush's Follow up and Twista just keeps gettin better. But with TWISTA'S KAMIKAZE, you can just let it play from Track 1 to 16! NOWADAYS, ALBUMS GOT 2 or 3 really good tracks. Art & Life (8.5) STR8 Spittin, no hook and its savage. Hope (7/10) Every album needs a deep track. Snoopin' (11/10) BEST TRACK!! EVERYTHINGS PERFECT !!ġ3. Go get Ludacris f/ Twista "Freaky Thangs".ġ2. Higher (9/10) FASTEST TRACK it PUMPS ME UP! Best collabo is twista and ludacris. So Sexy (10/10) ANOTHER HIT !!! R.Kelly and TWIST.ġ1. One last time (6/10) Gangsta beat, Twista's rappin too slow.ġ0. BAdunkadunk (8/10) Down South Club vibeĩ. Drinks (8/10) WESTCOAST feelin beat, nice metophors.Ĩ. Still Feels So Good (10/10) Lyrics UNTOUCHABLE ! HOT BEAT!ħ. Overnight Celebrity (9/10) Kanye's Krazy !!Ħ. Slow Jamz (9/10) VERY UNIQUE, BOTH VERSES TIGHT/ CHORUS TIGHTĥ. Pimp On (10/10) CRAZY HOOK, CRAZY BEAT, CRAZYĤ. Twista's always been my favorite rapper for lyrics, his flo and his articulation. But it's the trendier tunes like Kanye West's parody-within-a-parody, "Slow Jamz," and the hustler's anthem, "Higher" (featuring the aforementioned Luda), that make the most noise. Kelly-produced round-the-way ballad, "So Sexy," and "Pimp On," a player's anthem featuring 8 Ball, Too Short, and the legendary Don "Magic" Juan. On the "OG" end of things you get tracks like the R. The long-delayed Kamikaze plays to both sides of the fan base, presenting a fair mixture of old-school Twista style with enough formulaic stuff thrown in to keep the kids happy. The Chicago speed rapper's managed to do well for himself in the interim, retaining a strong following among the thug-life set and accruing new listeners via judicious appearances on splashy commercial releases like Ludacris's Word of Mouf. Seven years have passed since Twista's last solo joint (1997's hood classic, Adrenaline Rush), and that's about three career cycles' worth of evolution in the swiftly moving world of hip-hop.
